Throws Gala, Record International and the Kennedy RelaysApril 13 1999A throws Gala will be held in Lethbridge Alberta on the 24th and 25th of April. There are presently entries from Montana, Saskatchewan, B.C. and Alberta. If you are interested in this meet the info can be found at http://canthrow.com/meets/chinookgala99.shtml Entries can be done online (encouraged) as well. Age groups are from Midget to Senior. This meet will have the opportunity to throw three times in each event and is designed for the early achievements of standards. Javelin however, will only be held twice, once each day. Juvenile men will have the opportunity to throw the 5kg as well as the 12lb hammer and shot. It will be a throws meet only. There are about 33 entries already and is shaping up to be an excellent throws event. A bar-b-que will be held after the events on Saturday and a throwers relay will be held on the Sunday after the throws events. Clinics for beginning throwers will be held both days before the events begin. The 1999 Record Invitational has also expanded its slate of events and there will now be javelin, shot put and discus held at this years event.
