Meisner and Mitchell get Big Rock nod

Chris Meisner and Arielle Mitchell earned Big Rock Brewery Pronghorn Athlete of the Week honours with their performances at
the CIS Track and Field Championships last week.
Meisner, a first-year Pronghorn, won the silver medal in shot put with a throw of 15.66 metres. Earlier this year, Meisner had
twice broken the Canadian Junior shot put record as well as the school record and the Alberta Junior record. He also won bronze at
the Canada West championships.
Mitchell also earned a medal at nationals, placing third in pole vault by clearing 3.8 metres -- a personal best for the second-year
student. Mitchell only lost two university competitions through the season.
