Local athlete has room broken into
From the Lethbridge Herald Oct 18 2001
SANTA FE, Argentina -- Team Canada, featuring Lethbridge hammer thrower Jim
Steacy and pole vaulter Brynn Anderson, has arrived in Santa Fe for the Junior Pan
American Track and Field Championships.
Steacy, a member of the Chinook Track and Field Club, and his three roommates
experienced the local hospitality first-hand as their hotel room was broken into while
they were training. They had all of their Team Canada gear, as well as their CDs and
CD players stolen.
Anderson, of the Lethbridge Track and Field Club, will compete in the pole vault on
Saturday. |
